Singles Auction Raises over $9,000 for Diabetes

I am very pleased to say that thanks to the help of 20 incredible individuals, 8 awesome volunteers, 2 hilarious MCs, 1 kick-ass DJ and a room full of 130 very generous guests, the Singles Auction on Saturday, May 10th raised just over $9,000!

This FAR exceeded any expectations I had for the event and most of the feedback that I've received have been very positive, including many requests to do another Singles Auction next year...

It was great to see my friends having a blast at the event. Here are some highlights of the event for me, please feel free to add your own by responding to this blog:

-Brock driving up all the bids on the ladies.
-Deb getting the highest bid at $700!
-Kellen's MC Hammer dance.
-Impromptu Singles volunteering to be auctioned off.
-The Vintage Swing Revue pumping up the dance floor.
-Seeing even mega-prego Jodi (seriously, she's about to pop any second now) come to support this great cause!
-Getting to know some really amazing people!

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it and especially to everyone who put so much effort into making it such a great success! Shout-out to Tyler, my partner in crime who has had to put up with me over the last few months and who has put in just as much time into this as I have into this. Also, thanks for your genius idea Joel!

There's just a few last things that I want to clarify:
-No, I am not a P.I.M.P nor a Madame...I like to be called a "Matchmaker" or even a "person of opportunity"
-Yes, you can include me in your wedding speeches and yes, you can name your first-born after me!
